A. Best 6 Pubs & Bars in Cairo & Giza
Most local pubs and bars in Cairo are located in El Zamalek, which is a district of downtown Cairo. The best time to visit these places is after 8 pm as most of them start at that time and you will be able to enjoy your evening with friends without having to wait for long or having problems finding a table. The prices are reasonable and the service is normally good. After you finish, you need to tip the waiters or bartenders.

The ambiance is great, especially if you want to meet new people or make friends with those around you. The food here is amazing as well! You should definitely try their steak, liver plate, cheese dip, and fried potatoes! This bar also serves delicious desserts like chocolate cake or tiramisu which go perfectly with your favourite beer or wine π
The only downside about this pub is that it gets pretty crowded during peak hours so finding an open table might be difficult sometimes but don’t worry because most people stand around chatting while waiting for their turn to order drinks from the counter π
2. The Cairo Cellar (El Zamalek, Giza)
This pub is a hidden gem in El Zamalek in the center of Cairo, which many people don’t know about. However, it’s one of the best bars to hang out with friends or have an evening out with your date. 3. Overtime (El Zamalek, Giza)
Overtime is a good bar and restaurant located in Zamalek, a beautiful island in Cairo. The food is excellent, but unfortunately, the music isn’t great. Waiters can be pushy when it comes to ordering drinks or meals and they make sure that you don’t leave without having ordered something from their menu!
The interior design of the pub is cosy with high ceilings as well as wooden tables and chairs which create a very hospitable environment for visitors to enjoy themselves at this establishment. It has also been noted that Overtime has one of the largest selections of alcoholic beverages available within any other venue around Cairo so if you’re looking for somewhere where there’s lots going on then this should definitely be considered! If none of these things sound appealing then maybe try visiting during Latin night which takes place every Wednesday evening from 9 pm until midnight.

After the sunset, what’s better in Cairo than spending the night on a rooftop or a good lounge? The rooftop bars and lounges are usually more expensive than pubs and bars but they offer you an amazing view of Cairo’s skyline at night. Most of them are located in El Zamalek area and on the last floor of a local Hotel. They have the license to sell Alcoholic drinks so don’t worry about not finding any there!
1. The Tap East (New Cairo)
The Tap East is a restaurant/bar that has a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food they serve here is delicious, especially their pizzas! They also have some great drinks like mojitos and margaritas.
The open-air area of this place can get cold during winter months but heaters make it comfortable enough for you to stay there without feeling too cold or hot depending on when you go. There aren’t any tables inside so if your group wants one then make sure everyone has arrived before heading inside as it might take a while for them to find space for everyone else’s table! The place has a really nice atmosphere and comfortable layout with lots of seating options outside including couches where people can sit together comfortably without being crammed up against each other like most bars have nowadays π
If there’s live music playing then definitely check out what band is performing because sometimes they bring really good artists here which makes things much more fun π
The valet people outside were not very friendly either; they overcharge visitors.
2. Crimson Bar And Grill (El Zamalek, Giza)
Crimson Bar And Grill is situated on the elegant Zamalek Island, overlooking the Nile River. It’s a trendy rooftop bar and restaurant with an international flair that offers indoor and outdoor seating options allowing guests to savor their meals in style and comfort.
The staff is super attentive; every food you order is delicious! Big portion too! Reasonable price for dinner. It has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Dinner is really special with the sunset atmosphere over the Nile River…Food is very good. Plenty of drink options available too π Difficult to find parking around but it’s worth it once you’re there.
3. Gu Bar (El Zamalek, Giza)
Gu Bar is a good place for nice entertainment, you can hang out at night and enjoy the fun experience of being in Egypt. The environment is clean and friendly, Reservations are required sometimes, especially on the weekends.
The drinks are great and they have different types of shisha sit by the river at night and enjoy a great view with your friends or family members who are visiting Egypt for the first time or second time like me! 5. Vintage Bar & Lounge (New Cairo)
Vintage Bar & Lounge is a cozy bar lounge with a great interior design. The food was great and the drinks were amazing! The music was nice, but if you’re looking for more of an energetic dance scene I would go somewhere else.
All the staff was so nice and did all they could to make it a remarkable night for us! Smoking is allowed inside which makes it even better!
6. El Horeya Hotel & Rooftop (Heliopolis)
If you’re looking for a place to spend the night in Cairo, El Horeya Hotel and Rooftop is a good choice. The rooftop is nice, especially in Autumn time when it’s not too hot or cold yet. They have a big swimming pool with water slides that kids can enjoy while adults can relax at their own pace on couches around it or play some games with friends on one side of the pool area.
The food prices are okay but their portion sizes are pretty small so don’t expect anything fancy or hip here, it’s old-school and you’ll feel like this place is somehow stuck in the 70s! However, if all you want is somewhere quiet where no one bothers you then this could be perfect for your needs because although service may sometimes be slow (especially if there are lots of people), waiters are very nice overall.
7. Stage One Lounge & Bar (near El Zamalek, Giza)
Stage One Lounge & Bar is on the second floor of the Conrad Hotel, which is located near El Zamalek. The prices are fine, the management is amazing and the DJ is great! This place offers top-notch service and quality. People start coming after midnight and there are different kinds of music being played like pop, rock or oriental music. The atmosphere at this bar is also mediocre but it’s worth going there because they have an amazing view over Cairo city from their balcony that overlooks the Nile River (which is beautiful during sunset)
8. After Eight (near El Zamalek, Giza)
After Eight is a great place to drink and dance the night away. The venue has an amazing view of the Nile, and it’s also located close to El Zamalek which makes it easy for you to get there by taxi or Uber. This pub is not as cheap as some other places in Cairo, but it’s worth paying more for a great experience!
C. Best 6 Dance & Night Clubs in Cairo & Giza
Cairo’s nightlife is full of surprises, but one thing you can count on is that it will be packed with people. The city has some great pubs, bars, and rooftop venues that are perfect for a relaxing evening unwinding after work or school.
However, if you’re looking for something more energetic and exciting than the usual pub scene then Cairo has plenty of options too! There are plenty of dance clubs where you can dance the night away with friends or even meet new people from around Egypt (or abroad).
1. Cairo Jazz Club (near El Zamalek, Giza)
Cairo Jazz Club is a great fun place for those who like live music near El Zamalek. Its reservation is needed on the weekends, and they have live music by local artists. The prices are a bit expensive but it goes well with the services offered. The security is selective and doesn’t let some people go in, but if you’re lucky enough to get in then you’ll find yourself surrounded by beautiful people having fun together!
There is an official soiree dress code: no shorts or sandals allowed! You must wear long pants (jeans) or nice trousers, closed shoes like heels or flats, no flip-flops! If you don’t follow these rules then expect them not to let you into Cairo Jazz Club because of their strict policy.
2. Cairo Jazz Club 610 (Sheikh Zayed, Giza)
This is one of the best nightclubs in Sheikh Zayed and it not only has great music but also because they have indoor and outdoor areas. The place is nice and cozy with a good atmosphere and crowd.
3. Spade Lounge (Heliopolis)
Spade Lounge is a great place to go if you’re looking for a good time and want to let loose. The atmosphere is simply perfect for anyone looking to have a good time and let loose. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you out with whatever you need, whether it be ordering another drink or finding somewhere else for dinner after your meal at Spade Lounge (which I highly recommend).
The pizza here is simply mouth-watering and one of the best things on their menu! You can also order other foods like pasta or salads if you prefer something lighter than pizza but still want something delicious. They even offer breakfast options such as waffles or omelets which would make this place perfect for brunch dates as well! The highlight of my evening was definitely seeing the belly dancer perform her routine; she did an excellent job keeping everyone entertained throughout her performance by incorporating different styles into each dance including tribal moves which made me feel like I was back in Egypt visiting my family!
If there was anything negative about this place then it would be parking since valet service isn’t available here yet but hopefully soon because otherwise, street parking can get pretty expensive depending on where exactly you leave your car parked overnight (or even during daytime hours).
4. Stage Cairo Club (El Zamalek, Giza)
Stage is one of the most famous pubs in Egypt, known for its unique design and architecture. It’s located at a strategic point in El Zamalek. The place has an outdoor terrace and an indoor club where you can dance all night long with DJ music or enjoy cocktails while listening to live bands playing Egyptian classics.
The atmosphere inside is very romantic with dimmed lights with beautiful decorations that give off a romantic vibe even during daytime hours when most people come here just walk around admiring everything from afar without actually sitting down anywhere at first glance because there’s no need!
5. Undergroud Disco (Heliopolis)
Underground Disco is the place to go if you’re looking for good music and live performances. There are plenty of casual nights, so if you like belly dancers, you’ll always find them there. The DJ isn’t the best but if you want some nice music with some friends or even alone, this place will be perfect!
Prices are sometimes different from what’s on their menu so make sure before ordering anything! They make good cocktails especially Long Island Ice Tea which is my favorite drink there!
Service can get slow at times but overall service is good and friendly staff members. They try their best to accommodate your needs as much as possible (especially when it comes to ordering food). Air conditioning could also be improved because it gets hot inside during summer time especially when everyone starts dancing together in one room together with no ventilation whatsoever.
6. Echo Club (near El Zamalek, Giza)
Echo Club is a tastefully designed space, the work of experienced interior designers. Since opening in 2013, Echo Club has gradually maintained its position as one of the most sought-after Khalji nightclubs in Cairo. Excellent service with good khaliji music and a great atmosphere for a special night out.
