Zanzibar is a beautiful island off the coast of Tanzania. It’s known for its white beaches and amazing coral reefs, but it’s also a great place to shop. Shopping can be one of the top activities to do in Stone Town. You can find everything from souvenirs to handmade clothes here. Here are some of my favorite shopping malls in Zanzibar:

1. Stone Town Mall

This mall is located in the heart of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s main city. It has a great location for those who want to be close to all the shops, restaurants, and services that you need while you’re on holiday here.

The shopping options here are extensive: there are clothing stores selling traditional garments as well as modern clothes; souvenir shops selling items like jewelry and artwork; supermarkets where you can buy fresh produce from local farmers; pharmacies where you can get any medication prescribed by your doctor back home (if necessary). The restaurants at this mall offer delicious cuisines from around Africa as well as Western dishes such as pizza or burgers. There are also banks here if you need some cash while away on holiday!

2. Zanzibar Shopping Centre

The Zanzibar Shopping Centre is located in the heart of Stone Town, on Ras Kutani Street. It offers a wide range of goods including clothing and accessories, food items, electronics, and more. The supermarket has an ATM machine inside it so you can withdraw cash if needed (there is no exchange office at this mall). There’s also a pharmacy on-site if you need to pick up any medicine or first aid supplies.

The Spice Bazaar section sells spices from around the world including saffron from Iran and cinnamon sticks from Sri Lanka, whatever your taste buds desire!

3. Darajani Market

Darajani Market is the place to go if you’re looking for spices and crafts. You’ll find everything from dried fruit and nuts to incense sticks, jewelry, and clothing.

The market is located in Stone Town (the old part of Zanzibar City), which can be reached by bus or taxi from Darajani Gardens Bus Station. It’s open every day except Fridays from 6 am until 6 pm.

4. Mwenge Woodcarvers Market

The Mwenge Woodcarvers Market is one of the best places to buy souvenirs and gifts. It’s located in the heart of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s old city. You can watch artisans at work as you browse through their wares.

The best part about shopping here is that everything is handmade by local artists using natural materials like wood or stone. You’ll find everything from jewelry to masks and figurines carved out of coral rock or sandalwood (an aromatic tropical hardwood).

5. Forodhani Market

Forodhani Market is a great place to shop for souvenirs. It’s located in the heart of Stone Town, so it’s easy to get to and very convenient.

There are lots of stalls selling local crafts, spices, and food. You can also find souvenirs from all over the world here!
