Cairo is like a shopping paradise. The city has everything: from small boutiques to major malls, from local designers to international brands, and from souvenir shops to big supermarkets. Here are the 20 most popular shopping Malls and centers in Cairo & Giza that you can visit with ease.
1. City Stars (Nasr City, Heliopolis)
City Stars is a paradise for shopping enthusiasts, with hundreds of brands on offer including global and local ones. You can find everything you need in this mall: from clothes to cosmetics, electronics, and jewellery!
The food court is huge with many restaurants serving different cuisines so you’ll never get bored eating here. There are also activities like a snow city or a kid’s zone if you’re looking for something fun to do after shopping.
In addition to being conveniently located near many hotels in Nasr City (and Heliopolis), City Stars has been renovated recently so everything inside looks brand new! The staff at Seoudi Market speak English which makes it easy for foreigners who don’t know Arabic well enough yet.
2. Mall of Arabia ( Sheikh Zayed, Giza)
This is a large shopping complex with brand-name stores, a food court, a movie theater, and a fountain display.
The mall is very close to the Mall of Egypt so you can go to the two of them together in one day. It has about 23 gates (entrance/exit) and it takes about an hour to walk through the whole 2 floors with shops without spending time browsing around or doing anything else other than shopping.
The mall also has a huge Supermarket called Spinney’s supermarket where they have pretty much everything that you need from food items such as fruits & vegetables to spices or even household items like detergents etc. It was really nice going there every week since I didn’t have time during weekends but still wanted something healthy for dinner rather than eating out at restaurants all the time!
3. Mall of Egypt ( Sheikh Zayed, Giza)
Mall of Egypt is one of the biggest malls in Egypt, suitable for gatherings and shopping. It’s a shopping haven as you will find plenty of franchises and shops of every brand in Egypt, Food Court is always amazing to have lunch and dinner. Navigating the well-designed layout is a breeze, and the variety of shops caters to every taste and need. Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast, tech geek or foodie; you’ll find yourself spoiled for choice here at this mall.
The aesthetics are visually pleasing with modern architecture and inviting spaces that make it easy for shoppers with children or elderly relatives who want some time away from their kids or grandkids! 5. Downtown Katameya Mall (New Cairo)
Downtown Katameya, located in the heart of New Cairo, has become a bustling hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment. It consists of 4 buildings connected to each other, restaurants are located outside the buildings. The best area to have your outdoor breakfast and Coffee near the fountain is easy to park underground parking lot which is safe and secure. Most restaurants are outdoor so you get to enjoy the breeze, greenery, and sound of water running from fountains. All kinds of services; clothes banks furniture textile mobile communications photography restaurants cafes etc
6. Dandy Mega Mall (6th October, Giza)
If you are traveling by car to Alexandria or if you are staying close to the 6th of October city, this Mall is a great choice for you. The best thing about it is that it’s so quiet and the parking is free! Many fashion brands and dining options with kids area. But the bathrooms are sometimes not clean.
7. City Centre Maadi (Maadi, Cairo)
Shopping mall with stores for popular brands, a movie theater, a supermarket & casual dining.
It has a very good parking area and it’s not very big in size so if you’re looking for a big variety of choices this is not the mall for you. However, there are many other malls around Cairo that are bigger than City Centre Maadi (Maadi). The biggest Supermarket called Carrefour is located there as well as some other restaurants and shops which offer different kinds of stuff like clothes shoes, accessories etc…
8. Genena Mall Cairo (Nasr City, Heliopolis)
Genena Mall Cairo is a very nice mall, there is a good variety of shops, and prices are reasonable. Excellent mall for a lot of Brands and ice skating hall on the ground floor. You can have a lot of fun with your kids, and all your family will find a lot of amusement. A Nice mall consists of 4 floors in Nasr city: A lot of Clothes shops for women on the 2nd floor and for men on the 3rd floor; A food court and coffee shop on the 4th floor; There is also an ATM center
9. Point 90 Mall (New Cairo)
Located in New Cairo, this mall has a wide range of international shops and dining options. The first floor features an 11-screen cinema with cozy seats that are perfect for a movie night with your family or friends. There’s also an underground parking lot with plenty of paid and free street parking available nearby.
The second floor has many small-scale stores like Jack & Jones, Adidas Originals, and American Eagle Outfitters where you can find cool clothes at reasonable prices. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants here including Nando’s Peri Peri Chicken (our favorite) as well as Starbucks Coffee House & Bakery – which is always a hit among teenagers!
If you’re looking for something fun to do while shopping then head over to Point 90 Mall’s Kids Zone located on Level 2 near Debenhams department store where there will be lots of activities including face painting sessions.
10. Talaat Harb Mall (City center)
You may not have heard of Talaat Harb Mall, but it’s a good place to shop for clothes. It has many compact, varied local small retailers that compose this enclosed shopping center with a food court.
It’s a good mall for shopping especially for clothes. You can find prices cheaper than big brands and you can negotiate too! Also, some stores have imported clothes from Turkey and other countries
11. Maadi Grand Mall (Maadi, Cairo)
This mall is huge, with four stories, and has everything you could imagine. Although smoking is prohibited inside the mall, people still smoke inside so if you are allergic to cigarette smoke I would avoid this place. This mall could improve in every way possible and it’s local people selling stuff here that make it worth visiting. The toilets are very small but they are very clean which is surprising considering how busy the mall gets on weekends!
The general vibe here is very friendly and welcoming like all other malls in Cairo & Giza
12. Concord Plaza Mall Cairo (New Cairo)
Concord Plaza Mall is located in New Cairo, Egypt. This mall has a lot of retail shops and boutiques, restaurants, a kids’ play area & fitness center.
The location is great especially since it’s near many high-end residential areas like Maadi and Heliopolis (and not far from Zamalek either). The mall has plenty of options, especially restaurants and cafes. The internal street is very narrow parking is very hard to find and the traffic police are very aggressive to leave your car anywhere. But the mall honestly has a lot of varieties of different brands, from the food court to the supermarket. Everything you need to get it is here at this place. There are also many cafes inside Concord Plaza Mall which offer great ambiance with friendly service too!
13. Galleria40 (6th of October, Giza)
Galleria40 is a small upscale mall with clothing boutiques and an art gallery, plus cafes in an outdoor courtyard. The mall is very small with a very limited variety of retail shops, if you are looking for a clothing mall so this is not your place. Many jewelry shops inside that mall. Much more varieties in arts and gold styles. Don’t forget to have a meal on the roof with many restaurants. Car parking is available downstairs and outside
14. El Horreya Mall (El Korba, Heliopolis)
This is a very old mall, but it still holds its own. It’s centrally located in Heliopolis and has a wide variety of shops that you can find at other malls. The staff is friendly, but the stores aren’t as good as City Stars or Talaat Harb; they’re mostly local shops that sell things like clothes, shoes, and accessories. But if you’re looking for something specific then this place has got it!
15. Arkan Plaza (Sheikh Zayed, Giza)
Arkan Plaza is a shopping mall located in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza. It’s the first mall in Egypt to have an IMAX theater and a bowling alley. The Vibes and atmosphere are amazing, convenient for a family entertaining outing with Cinemas & activities for the kids available. Gourmet and fine dining restaurants for all tastes are available here along with many other shops. Parking is available for a reasonable charge as well
16. Arabella Plaza Mall (New Cairo)
Located in New Cairo, Arabella Plaza Mall is a great place to spend your time if you live in or around the area. It’s got everything you could want: restaurants, cafes, a cinema with normal and VIP options, and even kids’ entertainment (for when your children are old enough). There are also many brands for shopping as well as a hypermarket where you can find anything from food items to clothes.
On weekdays it tends to get crowded because it’s near several schools but on weekends there are less people which makes it easier for everyone else!
17. Hub 50 Mall (Maadi, Cairo)
If you’re looking for a mall with a lot of food and drink options, Hub 50 is your place. This shopping center has everything from a bakery to a sushi restaurant and even an ice cream parlor. The only problem with this mall is that parking during summer is not easy; you’ll have to wait in long lines just to get out of the parking lot!
18. Nile City Tower Mall (Near El Zamalek, Cairo)
This mall has everything you could ever want in a mall. It’s adjacent to the Fairmont Hotel and has direct access to it. The view of the Nile River and El Zamalek island is great, especially at night when it’s all lit up! It’s also a great place to relax and recharge your batteries as there are a variety of international brands, shops, and coffee shops available at your disposal here! The cinemas are small but still have 3D movies if that’s what floats your boat 😉 There is underground secured parking too so no worries about getting lost in traffic jams or paying exorbitant fees for parking outside on the streets around this area!
19. The First Mall (Inside Four Seasons Hotel, Giza)
If you want to escape from Cairo’s noise, dust, and traffic for a while, go to the First Mall inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Giza. The mall is located on the first floor of the hotel and has many luxury brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and many others. There is also an ATM machine there that accepts both Visa cards and MasterCard credit cards (this may change depending on your bank policy).
The cafe atrium serves good coffee drinks at reasonable prices; however, they do not have pastries or cakes yet but they are working on adding them soon according to one of their staff members who was kind enough to tell me about this project before I ordered my drink 🙂
20. Cairo Festival City Mall
Cairo Festival City Mall is a very large commercial mall with an open area with a dancing fountain. You can enjoy the wonderful view, and there are many luxurious restaurants. This mall is suitable for shopping and buying clothes. It also has cinema halls, as well as a VIP cinema.
This mall and also the food court is good with a huge variety of restaurants that serves different types of food like Chinese food or Japanese food etc.. It also has an IKEA center which is located in Cairo Festival City Mall near a Supermarket called Carrefour where you can find all you could be looking for.
